Hello,

I am Helga the resident potter at Grandview Pots and I am responsible for all these great pieces.

Grandview Pots is based in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada.

I began learning how to make pottery in 1995 at the Art Gallery of Burlington and subsequently at the renowned Dundas Valley School of Art. In 2005 I joined the Mississauga Potters Guild and in 2015 the Hamilton Potters Guild where I remain a member today.

Although my pieces are mostly hand built these days, I do occasionally get back on the wheel.

In 2017 I established my home studio where I create all my pieces, except for the studio work made at A Third Space Pottery Studio in St. Catharines

My main influences come from curiosity, from need and from nature, and in that order. I also get much influence from my Caribbean roots where Colorful Ceramic Arts and free roaming chickens are an every day sight. 

My pottery can be found for sale on Etsy, and at the Third Space Pottery Spring and Winter Markets.
